I don’t fit the church cookie-cutter mold.

That’s great, because God has no cookie-cutter mold!

We are each lovingly created to be a unique point of Divine Life upon this earth. Our hearts are restless until we find ourselves settled in this state.

All of us yearn to be authentically who we are made to be. We also yearn to be accepted by others. The big question is; do we have to sacrifice one for the other? Many of us found that in the church we did.

Often good Christian people conform to the expectations of the church and lose their own voice in the chorus. There are times to be a part of chorus, but there are also times to sing solo. Sadly, when it’s time to be our unique selves, many have lost a sense of who we are.

Did you lose yourself along the way? Are you working to reclaim yourself?

At NRCC, we’re doing our best to be a mosaic together, each individually beautiful but also each contributing to the whole. We encourage one another to rediscover our voices, to sing loudly, even if we occasionally sing off key.

If you’ve left the church to find your voice but are finding it difficult to do alone, consider NRCC. We won’t tell you who to be, but together, we’ll help one another discover it ourselves.
