Church makes me feel like I’m not good enough.

You’ve heard it before; you’re a human be-ing, not a human do-ing.

It sounds good, but how do we live that? So many of us draw our worth from what we do or don’t do. Unfortunately, the only way to measure our doing, is to judge it against others. When this happens, we can’t help but judge one another, and then, we can’t help but compete.

In a church environment this translates into keeping tick marks of our own and other people’s shortcomings. We promise ourselves we’ll do better this week, but find ourselves in the same place the next. Who needs one more rat race?

What if you could just be where you are on the journey, and not have to pretend you were further along? What if you could be part of a community that did not compete against one another, but strengthened one another, supported one another, and together celebrated who we are becoming?

If you left the church because you were tired of competing against yourself and others…
If you left the church because you were tired of pretending you were further along than you were…
If you left the church because you were tired of being made to feel you didn’t measure up…
We invite you to come “be” with us.
