Church is too much about rules.
Many Christians drift away from church when their inner life moves beyond the “conforming-to-the-rules” stage of life. Perhaps you’ve hit this crossroad. Have you ever felt you had to choose between staying at a church and conforming, or going it alone and living more authentically?
We’ve found that neither of these options is really satisfactory.
When we go it alone we deprive ourselves of the companionship, support, and insight that is so helpful on the spiritual journey. When we stay and conform, we have to silence the Inner Voice. The former depletes us, the latter hardens our hearts.
If you’ve had to choose between living authentically and being accepted into community, consider NRCC. We are an unfolding community, following Jesus, but not tied to one set way that church is “done.”
