Church people have closed minds.
They already have all the answers they need.

Many Christians have wandered down a dangerous but well-intentioned path. Maybe you’ve encountered them. They seek to rigidly explain and defend Christianity, the Bible, or God. They assume they understand it all, and now their mission is to persuade you.

When did it become our job as Christians to dispel mystery? If God is beyond us, there is liberty in being able to say, “I just don’t know.” Even with the Bible, the Inner Voice of God, and the community to help us, we do well to hold today’s good answers in an open hand.

At NRCC, we believe that the quest for life’s answers is often a messy one. We’re the first to admit that God doesn’t always respond to our queries with tidy solutions. Sometimes there’s no apparent solution at all. So we’ve become comfortable with mystery, comfortable that the dancing with God isn’t always about getting answers to life’s problems.

If you have become a non-practicing Christian because the church’s pre-determined answers didn’t fit your questions, consider NRCC. We won’t have all the answers, but we can share together the ones we have, and seek together the ones we don’t.
