Church is just another time-clock you punch? You put your time in. You make everybody happy, and when it’s done, you’re able to go back to your real life. It’s an honorable thing to make others happy, but is resigning yourself to lifeless spirituality really what you want? Maybe there are options you haven’t explored.
Churches are tradition-rich. However, we get into a rut if we never reinvent our traditions. But, look around, ours is a God of variety. One church couldn’t possibly fit all this diversity. Does your church no longer fit? Consider this; does your prom outfit still fit? Things that served you well in the past may no longer suit the season of life you’re in.
