I want to experience God, but it doesn’t happen in church.

Sadly, on our quest to experience God, church can often feel like the one place God isn’t. When religious practices become divorced from Divine Life, they feel empty. We understand that. Why go to church to feel empty? Somewhere along the way, we must have missed the point.

Do you experience God more fully outside church? Does your heart sing when you are taking a walk, pursuing a hobby, sharing with a friend, listening to music, or reading a story? What a shame that church is often not one of those experiences. But for many, it just isn’t. So over time, quite understandably, some of us just stop going.

The only problem with this is that when we go it alone, we forego the joy and encouragement that is found when we share our God-experiences with others.

Are you caught in this no-win situation?

We are a spiritual community that supports one another, encouraging each other to embrace the unique way God is made alive in us. Sunday mornings together, we share our experiences, thoughts, and feelings before and after the weekly lesson. We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all spirituality.

If you are looking for a place to grow and share your spiritual journey, and church seems like the least likely place where that would happen, consider NRCC. We are looking for people to share the journey with us. If you are reading this, you may very well be one of them.
